A much more settled river this past week with the height on Monday sitting at at 1' 10" and finishing on Saturday at 1' 7". The water temperatures have been gradually falling and it seems to have helped our catches with 9 salmon and 6 grilse landed for the week with some good fish in the 16 to 17lb bracket. Mark Blair who had his 50th birthday fishing the beat landed the largest of the week at 18lb from the Cottage on a Red Francis. Other successful flies were Ally Shrimps, Cascades and Sunrays.
The week ahead looks to be mostly cloudy with showers but a band of rain is expected coming from the west late Wednesday into early Thursday.
We have limited availability now to the end of the season so please check our website for the latest availability and get booked in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Cheers Brian
