Quite unsettled weather and water this past week with a fair mix of heavy showers, some lovely days and some wind, especially on Wednesday which did add some problems. We also had a couple of rises in water on Wednesday and Friday which didn’t do any favours but we did manage 4 fish for the week which I was fairly happy with. Two from the Cairnton bank and two from Middle Blackhall bank with Monkeys and Willie Gunns doing the trick & all 7 to 9lb. Catch of the week goes to Norwegian visitor Shjalg Lund part of Knut Bjoernsen's fishing party who were all good anglers but Shjalg showed it’s never too late with a fish on his very last cast on Saturday evening in the Middle Ferroch. A great finish to the week.
The week ahead is looking to be slightly lower temperatures, mostly dry days with some showers about. The winds coming from a westerly direction, swinging into more southerly mid week and from the North towards the end of the week.
