August can be a frustrating month for various reasons, fish switched off, no water, high temperatures etc and the past week was quite  frustrating for our fishers but they all did their part. We were seeing a fish or two in most of the pools but they really weren't cooperating although there were a fair few fresh ones amongst them as well. We did end up with, and well deserved, 3 grilse and 1 sea trout with a few lost here and there plus the usual pecks and pulls which did keep the fishers on the go. The week ahead looks more promising with a lift of water today and a mixed forecast for the week incsome rain and brighter spells with winds from the south west.
