A change in weather from the previous few weeks, we actually experienced some nice summer days with warmth, light cloud and sunshine.  River heights started on Monday at 2' 11" & gradually fell away as the week went on and finished at 8" on Saturday. Water temperatures were between 52f-58f.

We finished the week with 1 salmon of 8lb for Graheme Reid from the Malt Steep. The 1st grilse of our season was landed in Invercannie by french angler Bernard Bimboes and that was quickly followed up with Luke Tomiak’s very first Salmon, a grilse of 3lb in Glister on a small Crathie. We also had 5 sea trout up to 3lb and the successful flies were Cascades , Crathie and Stoat Tails.

    Cheers Brian
