The river was in good fettle this week but the overhead conditions weren't that great with plenty of sunshine and clear sky's for most of the week. The last two days were overcast with har coming in from the east. There are fish which are mostly coloured in all the pools but they are switched off at the moment but an odd clean fish has been seen however we did have 3 coloured grilse for the week, all around the 5lb mark with small Ally's shrimps doing the trick - a few fish lost also.

Water heights were 1' on Monday with a gradual drop each day finishing at 4" on Saturday. Water temperatures were low to mid 50's Fahrenheit.

The Middle Blackhall hut got a bit of a paint job this week also to keep everything looking in good order.

    Cheers Brian
